Clindamycin Injection USP (clindamycin phosphate) is indicated for the treatment of serious infections due to susceptible anaerobic bacteria, such as Bacteroides species, Peptostreptococcus, anaerobic streptococci, Clostridium species and microaerophilic streptococci. Clindamycin Injection USP is also indicated for the treatment of serious infections due to susceptible strains of gram positive aerobic bacteria (staphylococci, including penicillinaseproducing staphylococci, streptococci and pneumococci) as well as in the treatment of Chlamydia trachomatis, when the patient is intolerant of, or the organism is resistant to other appropriate antibiotics
